ABOUT ABOUT

In an incredible collaboration of some of the greatest folk musicians of the 20th century, Livingston Taylor, Tom Chapin, and EVA (formerly The Jammin’ Divas) arrive on The Greenwich Odeum stage this February. Featuring individual as well as joint performances, the folk ensemble is a never-before-seen meeting of the musical minds. LTD combines the genre-defying songs of Livinston Taylor, the Grammy Award-winning storytelling of Tom Chapin, and the contemporary flair of EVA.

After 40 years of performance, Livingston Taylor has solidified himself as one of the most influential folk musicians of the late 20th century. The fourth child in a musical family that includes Livingston’s Grammy Award-winning brother, James Taylor, Livingston Taylor was always a natural behind the guitar. The brilliant folk musician has written a number of top-40 hits, including “I’ll Come Running” and “I Will Be in Love With You,” and has toured with major recording artists such as Linda Ronstadt and Jimmy Buffett. Taylor is also an educator, working as a professor at the esteemed Berklee College of Music.

With over 23 albums to his name, Tom Chapin is another veteran of folk music. Chapin has applied his innate storytelling abilities and musical talent to his career as a folk musician and as a creator of children’s music. Called “one of the great personalities in contemporary folk music” by the New York Times, Tom Chapin began his career in the 1960s, where the young musician played in Greenwich Village folk clubs. His recording career began in 1976 with the release of his first solo album, Life is Like That. Chapin also hosted the Sunday morning ABC TV series Make A Wish from 1971 to 1976.

EVA (formerly The Jammin’ Divas) are a multi-national, all-female folk group that pride themselves on their beautiful three-part harmonies and catchy melodies. EVA consist of Aoife Clancy, from Ireland, Nicole Zuraitis and Craig Akin, from the United States, Kath Buckell, from Australia, and flutist Hadar Noiberg, from Israel. Each of the members of EVA brings their unique musical style and experience to the group, creating an ensemble with a healthy blend of jazz, pop, folk, R&B, and indie influence. The members of EVA are instrumentalists as well as vocalists, setting their intoxicating harmonies to the tune of the flute and upright bass. The female ensemble appropriately compliments the musical style of Livingston Taylor and Tom Chapin, making LTD one of the most exciting new folk sensations around.
